Three out of four fur farms are abandoned
Animal Welfare Alliance has undergone statistical data from the past few years, livermore bulb and found a marked decrease in the number of fur animals farms. As of 1 January 2011 there were only 315 fur farms in Norway, the entire 1277 peak year of 1996. In 2012, the figure dropped to 265 The decrease in the use of fur farming livermore bulb in Norway: 75% of Norwegian fur farms have been shut down since 1996. Average is about. 69 fur farms were laid down each year since 1996. 42 fur farms were closed down last year (2011-October 2012).
The figures clearly show that fur farming can not be considered good regional policy. Fur industry is highly cyclical, and therefore does not contribute to creating secure jobs in rural areas. The industry livermore bulb also creates few other jobs and have no synergy in terms of tourism, technology, cultural or similar. Fewer members of the Norwegian Fur Breeders
Also, membership in fur breeders 'avlsforening (Norwegian Fur Breeders' Association) is downward: Between 1995 and 2009, the number of number of members decreased by 69%. The organization is working hard to recruit, but there is little use. Only in the last five years the industry has published figures (see table below), the Norwegian Fur Breeders lost 366 members. The number of members of the Norwegian Fur Breeders: approx. 69% of the members have been lost since 1995. Average approx. 101 fewer members each year since 1995. 73 fewer members from 2008 to 2009. Please help to put down the last fur farms!
